Why isn't WhatsApp free?⌄
Meta charges per WhatsApp Business message — and so do we, at exactly the same rate they charge us: GH₵ 0.50. We don't mark it up. We don't profit from it. Think of it like buying airtime: cheap, useful, pay only for what you actually use. Most businesses use less than GH₵ 5 of WhatsApp per month.
Do credits expire?⌄
No. Credits never expire. Buy them when you need them and use them at your own pace.
Can I use Payo without ever buying credits?⌄
Yes. All core features are completely free forever — unlimited invoices, unlimited students, payment tracking, dashboards, and PDFs. You only need credits if you want to send messages on a client's or parent's behalf (WhatsApp, SMS), or use AI features. You can also share invoice and fees bill links manually — no credits needed.
What is the online payment fee?⌄
When a client or parent pays online via a Payo payment link, the platform fee is 1% — capped at GH₵ 30 per transaction. That means a GH₵ 5,000 payment costs only GH₵ 30, not GH₵ 50. You can also choose to pass this fee to the client as a convenience fee instead of absorbing it. Manual payments (cash, MoMo, bank transfer recorded by you) are always free.
Can I top up directly from WhatsApp?⌄
Yes. Send top upto the Payo bot on WhatsApp. You'll get a secure Paystack link, pay via MoMo or card, and credits are added instantly. No need to leave WhatsApp.
Is there a minimum credit purchase?⌄
